Kenneth L.'s Story

To all classmates, This well be a short summary of the life and time spent since our graduation. For a couple of years, I knocked around Ogden until I was threatened with the draft. I went into the Air Force and spent three+ years in England and Florida. Following discharge I married a gal I met on a short leave before England. That didn't last long and I was soon on the streets again. (Not homeless.) Two years later I remarried and spent 30 wonderful years building a great family. In Nov 2003 she left me for another better place. It was tough and we all miss her greatly but we are moving on. I spent some time traveling and working for various contractors in various places. Now I live in ID. in a ghost town named Henry, just north of Soda Springs. I spend my time painting when the weather is good. I have no studio here. I help a relative in her cafe cooking. Cooking is my second enjoyment. The next few words are answers to questions out of "Story Wizard". *I always wanted to be a painter when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was an ambitious idea. As it turns out, they were right, but I still paint. *The question was how do I blow off steam, and relax. First I cuss something (SOB), then I'll ether paint, read, or cook something on hand. *FoodNet TV is my favorite pastime. If I have to watch TV it would be my first choice. *Wildest thing I did in school was drag race in the parking lot. 9th street to 7th street. I won. *My biggest surprise in life is being alone at an older age. It's not fun although it is quite. Too quite *My first crush in life got married two or three times and now is fed-up with men in general. Trust me, I know. *If I could improve my home, I'd remodel everything and add on an art studio. My dream home would be the one I sold in 2006. *I learned patience...Expand for more
and unconditional love from my kids. *If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to my kids, then spend the rest on the Marina, Cafe and me. *To be truly happy I would rather be here with someone I could spend the rest of my life with. *It's not a career, but I could spend the rest of my life right here running the Marina and Cafe and painting on the side. *My current age is 63. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be 63 or dead. I was so completely right. *My best friend would tell you I'm creative, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as stuffy. *My oldest and best friend I met 30+ years ago. He and I clicked because we respected what each of us was capable of doing. He for his intelligence and me for my creativity. *My style of dress is total comfort. *The weirdest job I ever had during school was a carhop at Pinky's in North Ogden. I'm sure you remember it. *I share my home with no one, which I find too quite. *If there were a trophy for getting to 63 and still be healthy, I would have it. *My one do over would be to invest in mountain real-estate. *In 10 years, I hope to be 10 years older (73). I'm going to get there by staying healthy and active. *The childhood memory I'll never forget was learning about sex. I still don't know all of it. Is that TMI? That's the last question I'm going to answer. I'm not going to be responsible for anything else I might say. I've said too much already. Now a note on photos. I turned the camera around and took my profile shot. It's not great and it looks like it too, but it's me. Try it. It might take a few shots but you'll get a good one sometime, and we can see what you look like now. If we want to see what we looked like then we can use the year books. Until we meet somewhere, stay cool and safe. Ken Robbins
